303 mounts How do I mount a scope on a British .303. Is there a mount available? |

B squar makes a no drill mount |

As Wrenchman says, B Square makes a mount that doesn't require drilling. If you want other options, look through Brownell's or Midway's website (or catalog) at the list of scope mounts. I think you'll find something for your rifle. |

Weaver makes a mount T0 1, this fits certian models of the .303 Enfield, but you must have it drilled and taped. It's only draw back is that it only provides a grooved aluminum base (3/8"). Before I gave back the .303 I had trouble with, I used two sets of Leupold aluminum tip-off (split rings) to anchor my VX-II(two front, two back), and in theory it worked, but with the worn barrel and super bad key-holein', I am not sure how sound it was. But if I ever get another .303 that might be a bit better in the accuracy department, I would try it one more time. |

Hmm bet you were shooting Boat tailed bullets  most 303's don't like them and shoot much better with flat based bulelts. |
