Well this was a yard/garage sale

did a garage sale today while the worser half went to church. No guns at this'un but did get 5 boxes of shotgun shells(AA trap loads) and about 6 boxes of Winchester 223 and a box of 30-30's for 15 bucks. This was after I asked if'n he had any shootin stuff. He had a few boxes of 223 brass and a rifle sling that I had picked up for a buck. I even got him to throw in a ladies purse that I thought momma would like. Turns out it was some kinda spensive purse thing. Couple hundred bucks new. A Boony Burke er sumpin. She was kinda happy with it anyways

skeet,

You are a chronic Yard Saler like I am, LOL. I like the suspense of stopping by a garage/yard sale and seeing what is up for sale. It always pays to ask because sometimes not all the stuff is on display-that is why I always take the truck.

Yard Sales

Yes you are right. I just can't resist a sale.Sometimes I have to go get the truck. Not long ago I stopped at a yard sale and they had 55 gal plastic drums. I bought 8 for 20 bucks. Catch rainwater...yes we do have rain occassionally. I used one to make a composter out of. Seems to work well So I'm gonna make another one....but I had to go home and get the truck for that one. I also got a sharpening machine that uses slow speed water bath for knives for a buck...electric one though. I need to build a Large barn. Oh and yesterday I got a honest throwing rope(lasso) that I am going to try to learn how to throw. It really ain't easy. Somewhat used but it only cost a buck. My ol neighbor is good at it. Hit myself in the head a few times already:D

I stopped at a yard sale on friday. Best deal they had was a Massey Ferguson 45 horse tractor with cab, AC, and half a dozen attachments (brush hog, tiller, rake, finishing mower, sickle mower, carryall) for $13k with less than 50 hours on the tractor. It belonged to the woman's husband who passed away not long after they bought it.

I didn't have $13K to drop on it or it would be at the house already. However I have spread the word to a few buddies of mine. Heck if it works out I might get a chicken fried steak dinner as a finders fee. :D
