Opening Day
 

I'm sure that I'm not unlike most of you in a lot of respects. I've got a couple of stands hung, sorted through a number of trailcam pics trying to pic out "my buck", and have been shooting my bow religiously. Ohio opens this saturday and PA next saturday. I don't know about you guys (and girls) but I feel like a little kid just sitting here waiting!

This cold front makes it hard! Is it just me or does it feel like it should be the 1st of November not October? Usually when our PA archery season opens we have to deal with 70 degree days. I'm loving the 40 in the morning and 55 for the high. The deer have been out and about in the mornings and when the rain has been holding off in the evenings, the activity has been good as well. I'm patiently waiting for Saturday while I sit here at the office...

Our archery season starts Monday the 12th. I have everything ready to go and loaded in the old jeep. I only need to fill the thermos and go. I'm driving my bride crazy, pacing the floors. Sharpening the broadheads again and again and again. I am a little excited. Come on Monday.

Shot gun season opened here in Iowa yesterday. Didnt start off bad, 8 deer. One nice buck and 7 does.
