Would it be possible
 

I got a cva bobcat .50 cal. in trade and was wondering would it be possible or even practical to sleave the barrel down to .32 cal. for squirrel hunting. What do you folks think about that? Any and all comments are welcome.

While it may be possible to sleeve down the barrel, I think I would try to buy a replacement barrel in .32 caliber and be done with it.

Thank you for the welcome. I looked on green mountains website and didn't see where they had one for the bobcat. I wasn't sure any replacement barrel would fit. I will recheck there website. So does most sidelock barrels interchange with each other?

I looked on green mountains website again and now I have a question. What do they mean when 3/4 across the flats or 1 inch across the flats? I haven't heard this expression before. Thanks

The "3/4 across the flats" means the distance from one side of the barrel to the other side. By the same token, a 1 inch would be a heavier barrel due to more metal across the flat.

You should be able to to find a new barrel for it, but I would not sleve it. If you can not find one you can make your own. Just get a .32 cal. barrel that is 3/4 in. acrossed the flats, put in the proper breach plug and pin under the barrel to lock it in the stock and your in business.
