R&D Conversion Cylinder .31 (!) Remington

Hello again everybody!

(Yes, I'm back.) :)

Figured I'd put this one HERE as this seemed to be the most likely spot for things relating to CAS / SASS shooting.

Has anyone out there in HuntChat land BESIDES me ordered up the R&D Conversion cylinder to convert the STEEL FRAMED Remington .31 1863 "New Model Pocket" to shoot .32 S&W?

And IF so...have you gotten yours yet?

Have some tidbits of info regarding the delays in shipping these if ANYBODY's ;) interested. (Guess who I ran into last May at the NRA Convention in Phoenix?*)

Floor's open.

(*Well, BESIDES Dillon Calendar Girl Cathy Rankin! :p LOL!)

Mad Reloader,

I have seen ads for various C&B conversions for .44 caliber arms. They were pricey about $250, to make my M1858 Remington into something else in the cartridge domain. I have so many other projects underway that I never got into the conversion stuff.

Well then...

Adam, GOB, good 2 hear from you also!

FWIW, you guys want to hear what the dealy is?

(OBTW: This conversion unit is the LEAST expensive of the R&D cylinders, at only $200. I know, the things tend to be a bit pricey--but if one's trying NOT TO get a dementedly large amount of clutter in the ol gun safe, having something what can be used for Civil War re-enacting AND general use as a cartridge single action has its appeal)

Details 2 follow! ;)

Jack! Good to hear from ya!

Wanted to exchange info about the .32 calibre Remington Pocket Model revolver cylinders, but what the heck, we can have a reunion while we're at it...
