a link to numrich's marlin/glennfield model 80 parts page. There was about 4 different trigger guards so pick your poison. GoodOlBoy |
Thanks, I ordered it about hour ago from there....$11 shipped not bad for a part for a 70 year old gun.

Yep, very often if I can't find it at Numrich it isn't obtainable. That isn't ALWAYS true, but I would say 95% of the time it is.
Hope it works well for you, Old model 80s, and model 60s are far too good a guns to just let set. GoodOlBoy |
Often with rifles in production a lot of years, they will use a few different types of guards. Generally beginning with steel, then later switching to plastic to reduce costs. I have changed a couple of my old twentytwo rifles to the older stamped steel guards, replacing the plastic. No worries on breakage! These rifles don't generally have a lot of 'collector value', so changing parts isn't a big issue.

Another place to look for parts is Jack First, he relocated from Cal. to S.D. Got tired of Ca. politics and regs.
