Morris, PA Gun Show March 12 & 13, 2011.

Next weekend we have our one, big gun show for the year at the Morris, PA fireman's hall. That is the same location of the June Rattlesnake Roundup. Admission is $3 and it is a great gun show. NO yard sale junk.

I like the show because it is a fine place to find gun parts, accoutrements and ammo for pretty good prices. The guns tend to go from expensive to grossly expensive. After my annual "Price Check" I dash home and treasure my stuff even more. I often take my trading pack of stuff to swap off to savvy swapers.

Considering the hasmat fee for military ammo and components, it is a good idea to haggle a price and cart the stuff home in old truck from the gun show.

STATUS REPORT:

I went to Morris today and did find some items I needed for my Military Surplus Arms collection. I got a bayonet for my French Gras Model 1874 rifle and a Sam Browne belt to remind me of my 1970 police service days.

The prices for military surplus arms was very high. Ammo prices were also very high. I saw both my friends at the show, so it was a great day.

I like a story with a happy ending

The gun shows around here are overpriced with the same all stale merchandise. I rarely go the them. I have always done better at gun shops. All the best...

Went to a gun show a couple of weeks ago......I haven't been to one in a while, and this one has shrunk to about 20% of what it used to be. Prices on everything were outrageous, and I couldn't believe the prices they were asking for JUNK!!!

Mr. 16 gauge,

I hear ya! I came home today and treasured even more all my stuff. Why buy gold when IRON is so much better?

Be well.
