If I remember correctly you need to remove the breakdown screw then the barrel slips out, if I am not remembering correctly it MAY be one of the threaded in barrels.

The locating pin is out but the barrel is mighty tight in the receiver :( however my lathe man thinks he can manage to cut the thread with the receiver still attached , only downside is the silencer will have to be unscrewed to reload , worth it to take the " bark " off :)

You should be able to find a take down digram some where on the web. I would start with the Winchester web page, or gogle 9922 scamitic.

Eggy,

I would ask Winchester since they built the thing, eh, wot? Just what does "a Silencer is ok in the UK" mean? Are there Registration Restrictions? If not, please convey that logic to the BATFE in the USA! After all, we are the Former Colonies and may have missed the "Silencer ok" Business, eh, wot?

Yeah you colonials can have assault rifles but no silencers  over here a Sound Moderator needs to be shown on your Fire Arms Certificate for each rifle , except air rifles they are exempt but you can purchase a air rifle mod and use it on a .22 rimmie :) generaly sound mods dont carry any serial numbers but are still shown on your licence as " no name / no number " . there you go pip pip :)

Eggy,

How very Logical your last post was. I wonder WHY you need a License with, or without, "name/number." I understand your Constitution is unwritten and that may cause some problems when you choose to EXERCISE your gun Rights.

We Colonials had the wit, and wisdom, to put our Gun Rights into our written Constitution and we know where we stand. Where are your Gun Rights in your Unwritten Constitution? Now, there you go, pip, pip!

Be well.

Silencers are ok here too..we just have to pay a tax to have one. But for one time use they are easy to make for a rimfire.. A little bit of around the law is necessary every now and again. A friend just bought a H&K MP5 with suppressor.. Now the fool is going to get married. I found a civil war cannon for his father..but his wife is dead set against it. Sigh:rolleyes: To be honest..the firearm laws in the UK are horrendous..and not only that... Almost anywhere you go and you are under surveillance... Cameras everywhere. bbbrrrr Bad 'nuff in this country..
