As we head into the week prior to Memorial Day, please
look at as many clips & articles as you can about the true meaning of
this National Holiday. It is not about school being out, BBQs, or
swimming pools opening, it is a National day of remembrance to all the
brave Americans who have given their lives in order that we can continue
to be the land of the free and the home of the brave.



WHY IS IT THAT SOME UNDERSTAND WHAT MATTERS ABOUT
AMERICA ... AND THEY RESPECT IT SO DEEPLY THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO MAKE
THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICES FOR IT? AND TOO MANY OTHERS ... HAVE NO CLUE?



This slide show consists of photos taken at a formal
dinner at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, VA.
honoring the Widows of Marines killed in acton. It is a beautiful
presentation of the honor, commitment and pride today's heroes share
with yesterday's.



If you know a Marine or a soldier of any branch of the
Military (of any age) make sure he or she sees this. Wouldn't hurt if
all other Americans saw it too!

Went to gro store this morning and VFW was selling buddy poppies......I was wearing my old boonie hat w/rocker....lady told me "thanks for your service"......I replied that wives/girlfriends and moms also served! Damn, I didn't intend for her to cry....................they are the forgotten ones!My sincere thanks to ALL that have and are serving!Vaya con Dios to all of them!
