Huntchat Tech Advice: Cleaning up the garbage.
 

Since I put out the link about cleaning up the new malware I thought I would include this tidbit as well. For every machine I have to remove malware/viri from I first run (if it will let me) cleanup from Steven Gould.

you do NOT have to donate (but I have) the download link on the page looks like

Primary download site (setup program): CleanUp452.exe

Once you have it run it (don't bother with the trial scan it asks about) just click the cleanup button and let it run (and enjoy the sound effect)

NOTE If you start fiddling with options button you almost always want to do the standard cleanup on the machine. If you are selling a machine donating it etc the thorough cleanup will wipe out everything you have ever saved, bookmarked, or done.
