California has banned lead in hunting ammunition!
A buddy emailed me yesterday and transmitted a Sportsmans' Alliance (Google it) news release stating Governor Brown signed a law banning lead in ammunition. From what I understand, it applies to all hunting ammunition (modern centerfire stuff, .22 ammo, etc.) and muzzleloader roundballs and Maxis. What is a flinter to do in that case?
I can only imagine the economic impact of this "Greenie" Legislation. There is lead in the common .22 ammo, in the cup-and-core softpoint jacketed ammo and naturally in my favorite Roundball in my .45, .50 and .54 flinters. I am glad I live in Pennsylvania. Adam |
Amazing
Guess the answer is to stay out of California. The lead ammo ban goes into effect in 2019. All the best...
AB 711 by Assemblyman Anthony Rendon, D-South Gate -- would ban use of lead ammunition in hunting by mid-2019. SIGNED Gil |
