			Scope selection

I put a Bausch & Lomb 4X on a Winchester Model 190 .22 l.r. semi-automatic rifle and went to the range. The POI was about a foot low at 50 yards and I ran out of elevation adjustment. What to do? Went home and dug out a set of lower height rings and went back to the range. Now the POI was six inches low. Back home I put a Simmons 3X-9X scope on the rifle and went back to the range. Success! There was plenty of elevation adjustment and it was possible to get the rifle sighted in. I have encountered this situation with other scopes so it is good to have a selection of used optics in the stash. All the best...
