Nope. All the other quarter bores have longer/deeper chambers or have the wrong twist.
The best/easiest way (if you don't find a used one) is to pick up a clean 308/243/22-250 or any other short action round with that head size. Then have Pac-Nor or the like re-barrel it for ya.
The magazine will feed with no alterations if the rifle was originally one of the above, and you won't need to alter the bolt or extractor/ejector at all.
Unchambered barrel blanks in .25-caliber usually come in either 1-10" or 1-12" twists. I'd pick the 1-12" for the 250, as you'll probably be sticking to bullets of 100 grains and under. If you see a use for the 115s and 120s, then you might use the 1-10" twist. Or just follow the gunsmith's advice.
Don't be afraid to spend a few bucks. It'll be a rifle you'll keep forever!
