Personally, I would not pay $100 for a target barrel for an SKS because it is not a target gun with target sights, trigger and all the rest. I have read that the various SKS arms from different nations do not all barrel up the same due to differences. If you stay within your gun's nationality for a replacement, and functional, barrel it may be alright. I like the SKS, own too many and reload for them all. In the final analysis, the SKS is a battle rifle and should be enjoyed for being so. Hope this helps.
