[Adam Helmer]

My "handle" is Adam Helmer because I read the book, "Drums Along the Mohawk" (circa 1777) 5 times and saw the 1939 movie 8 or 10 times. I would have taken the main charachter, Gil Martin, but my twin brother took that for his "handle", so I took the #2 charachter in the book, Adam Helmer.

I like that era of American history, have a degree in history and am a hopless romantic who treks the woods with flintlock and 'hawk with my loyal Golden, Webley, on every nice day I have yet to live.

I just asked "Forestwalker" the source of his "handle" in another post on this site. I then had reflective thinking and thought we all have a reason for our handles. Ok, so why are you, "you"?
