...built one on a '09 Argentine, large ring, 98 action for my youngest son for his first deer rifle. He still has it and still hunts with it. Killed his first white tail with it (nice 6 pointer, would have been an 8 but no brow tines). Whittled and checkered the stock from a local black walnut. Had bead blasted before blueing to give it a matte finish. He has taken excellent care of the little rifle, it still looks good. Shoots great with Sierra 100 gr. spitzers, don't remember the load well enough to pass it on. He's been out on his own for several years, married, shoots "store bought" shells...sigh...thought I learnt him better.
