That was almost 30 years ago, but if my memory isn't too faulty, I was getting ready for deer season.
My 16th birthday was just in time to let me learn to drive in the snow. Being born at the end of November always left me with something to do with snow or getting ready for it on my birthday. My 19th birthday doesn't stand out as spectacular, but neither does my 21st. I was old enough to drink alcohol legally then, but I'd been drinking long enough that it was no big deal. The older we get, the less our birthday aniversaries mean to us.
I was born in 1956. I'm 39 now.
My daughter's boyfriend is 38.
I guess I'll have to advance a few years soon.
My dad must be 49.
I guess he'll have to age a bit too.
All I can say is;
"Enjoy your youth while you can, then enjoy the youth of your kids."
