Glad to hear he is doing well VS.
Many families are going through hardships and heartaches right now because of the war. Some voluntary, some not.
We just recieved news last week that my next door neighbor was deployed from Iraq to Kuwait , and now find he is due home this weekend. He may already be stateside for debriefing as I write this. He is a member of the National Guard, and has been deployed away from his family since Thanskgiving of 2003. Luckily, he was able to come home for a 2 week leave during this past Thanksgiving and see his family. He has 3 children, the youngest was only 5/6 months old when he left. He'll have alot of catching up to do once home.
Everyone of us should drop down to our knees and thank God for people like him, who have put their lives on hold, to keep us free and protect the world when called upon. It is a specail breed of person that will do so, and exactly what makes our country great.
I truly hope that the Budweiser ad that they had in the SuperBowl of people clapping, while our soldiers walked thru the airport, is a daily occurence as these heroes arrive home.
