It depends
I enjoy taking a Saturday morning drive to visit a first class gun shop and talk with the owner and patrons. I do more looking than buying and like the experience of being among like-minded folk.
Can't remember the last time I saw a matching 1909 for sale around here. The prices on GunsAmerica, GunBroker and AuctionArms for these vintage pieces give me chest pains. If I decide to buy this gun, it will be at a fraction of what the websites are charging.
I knew this would happen when the mortgage got paid off. But then, the price of the 1909 is about what I pay every three months for car insurance. I never get to keep anything from the car insurance bill. If I acquire the 1909, it will remain with me. All the best...

P.S. You are welcome to come along to the gun shop.
