im not real picky and will shoot about just anything. but that hasnt kept me from building stronger desire to shoot alot of rugers.

right now ive got 4 hunting rifles. 3 rugers 1 remington.

ruger in my opion just cant hardly be beat. ive had lots of luck with them. bolt actions light weight and meduim up to heavweight rifle designs. single shots. they also in my opion have the best scope mounting system on the market today. and they come with rings.

heres how i rate the ones ill rate. i dont care to look at weatherbys. sako, sikka, blazer, and otheres.

heres my list from #1 and down

kimber. probly the best production hunting rifle modest cost.

ruger. biggest bang for your buck in a rifle.

remington. comes 3rd because of the changes latly. and the desing isnt quite as good as rugers. though outa the box accuracy some say might be better

savage. im gona stick them here even though alot will put them in rugers spot on my list. all ive dealt with were very acurate. none were my own i was just shooting freinds rifles.

howa. howay builds the vangaurd rifle for weatherby. howa rifles seem to be very well built and solid rifles. there only this low on my list because ive never had one in my hands to even look at. they are very affordable. step past the vangaurd alltogether and get howa.

these are the only ones im going to put in my list. there are others out there, if youd want to spend more money or even less. but with this list right here there is anything youd ever want unless your wanting to spend lots or money.

in my opion there is never any reason to look any other than at remington ruger and winchester rifles.

as far as scopes go i learned the hard way that its not worth while to buy cheap stuff. got a few tascos and simmons even bsa. these scopes evenulay all fell apart on me literaly. in my opion its not worth haveing them.

im now down to all leupolds. these arent the most exspensive scopes but they just might be one of the best out there for your money.

ive got two vxII 3-9x40's these scopes have both taken a beating and are still crisp and clear as they day i brought em home. lots of scratches and ware wounds.

ive got one 4.5-14x40vxIII this in my opion is one of the best scopes for all around varmit and deer hunting. it cranks down to 4.5 in thick cover and zooms in on 14 power at longer ranges. i did spend more on this scope than i did most of the rifles ive bought.

i do know that most all rifles work with good glass on them. but the most exspensive rifle will never be able to be all it can be without good quality glass. then most all those cheaper rifles will even hang with it with the same good quality glass..

good luck

Evan
