I used them a long time ago cause they came with the old jennings i was given. They do fine on blood trail and i got pass thru chest shots without alot of poundage on the old jennings. If you are shooting good groups with them you'll be fine on deer.
I shot two adult does with 2 blades and they both dropped within 100 yards after impact.

I don't know but I've been told it's hard to swim with the weight of gold. On the other hand I have heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead.
