i was leaning on the 223 as i posted this thread, i may have wanted you guys to talk me into it. part of me says try mainly because its difrent and cool. chances are might just happen to give reloading it a go. i seem to reload all the calibers i have atleast a few times to see what kinda acuracy i can get. so im not exackly dead set on shooting facotry ammo. thats just what id prefer if it shoots good enough for me.
so far ive tried the 22/250 220 and 204. the 22/250 has been what ive kinda settled on as far as a heavy varmit rifle goes.
these are the calibers the remmys light weight varmit are offerd in.
17rem, 204, 221 fireball,223 and 22/250. all the calibers in the rifle intrest me exscept for the 22/250. i tried one in a 22' barrel durger awhile back with mixed results.
i dunno i may have just tried the 204 in the wrong rifle for my tastes, the rem adl just didnt have any bling to it. but it was a fun caliber, worthy of another chance.
i just dont know chances are sometime ill end up giving the 17rem a try but i dont know that its gona happen with my next rifle purchase.
