Well, at 91 years of age, I think his political career has been over for an awful long time.
According to one news report, it seems he was just a bit p!$$ed off at President Nixon for being passed over for J.Edgar Hoover's job after Hoover died. Could be he felt a little revenge was due him. If that was the case, then I do feel he did a criminal act and did not do the "right thing". JMHO.
