A good resource is the "Colorado Hunt Data CD" which can be purchased from the Colorado DOW, it has info for all the hunting units. I would try to read as much on the subject as possible it is VERY different than the deer hunting you might be used to in Nebraska and Florida. The altitude here can really mess with folks. It helps to get here early to adjust to the altitude, even if you are in good shape, especially coming from sea level (trust me on that one). Compass and/or GPS is a must. Be prepared for warm days or 2 feet of snow, which could happen in the same day. The weather here can turn deadly in a matter of hours. Bring a camera and enjoy the scenery.
