Fabs... I'd LOVE to live in the country too... but like you... I can't make enough money there. And you are right... that is a lifestyle choice.
There are lots of us out here that WANT to live rural, but choose to live suburban or urban in order to minimize expenses and travel time while maximizing earnings.
Fabs is right on... if you can't make a living where you are... MOVE. One of the GREAT things about America. If you don't WANT to move... deal with it.
Anyone that can work, can get a job framing houses. It pays $10 to start and $15 real quick if you are a worker. The framing market is full of "undocumented guest workers" (Illegal aliens) that the contractors would love to let go and hire American workers.
There ARE opportunities.
