Yeah, I agree with Rem 700. I try not to shoot at running deer unless I am able to pick out the shot really well or I have wounded them. Even then, a wounded deer is better than a wounded or killed person, so make sure you can pick the shot pretty well when you are shooting at running targets.

As Rocky Raab stated in another post, we tend to have adrenalin rushes when we are about to pull the trigger and it causes tunnel vision. So, make sure you know what the background is that the deer is running to.

Some safe shots are downward at a deer running through a large clear field.
