Trust me, the weight will really help with those 3 1/2" shells. For 6 or so years, I would shoot the big shells out of the SBE and wonder why my back hurt so bad the next couple of days. Two years ago, I put a recoil reducer in the stock and the recoil feels much better. When I shoot slugs out of the gun, I put another recoil reducer on the magazine cap.
