Well ya'll..I got the day off..so I can sit around and wait fer the tornados from Katrina to blow thru..lol
This week I'm rantin on Ebay..and here's why...
Sometimes you'll see Lilred prowlin round Ebay like a cougar on a rabbit. I usually watch the Civil War stuff, as well as the books. I love the old books. Over the weekend, I saw a book called "Civil War Stories as told by the soldiers" which was done in 1887. 9$ was the startin bid....I got riled..just like tintypes that go fer 10$ a piece..that there is people's family history..stuck on ebay of all places..whatever..they have no pride.
So anyways..I wont about to let that book go..so i bid 10$. It automatically came back..."You have been outbid."
Well that *&^&%$%&...thinks he's slick dont he? I'll show him slick...so I bid again..15$.
"You have been outbid."
Why I oughta whoop him with a broom handle I was sayin to myself. Then I thought..slow down Lilred ya goober..yer gonna wind up spendin a fortune on this thing...ahh what the hell..I figgered..at least I'd make him pay out the butt fer it...so there I went countin pennies like a millionare in a 2 dollar hoehouse..I'll make him give 30$ fer it..the sorry hethren..that'll learn him fer stealin away my deal of the century...27.50$..final offer from Lilred...hehehe..
Page come back as the high bidder...uh oh..Lilred done dun messed up royal. 5 hours left...I blew it off..somebody'll outbid me I'm sure of it. Refresh...refresh..refresh...holy crap in the slop trough..nobody bid on the dam thing..and I bought the book fer 27.50$
So my rant is on myself this week..Lilred..you got about as much sense as God give a turnip. I fell in that classic oblivion of him gittin a buddy to bid just to make the price go up.
How many idgits just like me fall fer that every day on Ebay? Probaly alot..it aint hard to do iffin you see somethin you like.
Oh well...from the looks of it..that looks to be a wonderful book to add to my collection..to bad I had to git it usin my classic form of excessive gooberism and idgitry.
