I think "the wood" became a powerful force when I hit about 15-16....just about the time I could drive. Then, it was all about "the wood" and "nothing but the wood". Most of my High School chums were the same.
As for the stock on your shotgun, Dale....that sucks that you're not happy with it. That has been a fear of mine and one of the reasons I have not "ordered" a gun without being able to see it. That in and of itself makes it hard to aquire some of these lovelys that we seek. I was lucky that my dealer ordered in the series of Browning Citoris with the special finish and case colored receivers, I had no attachment to them until I saw them....I bought them all!
