when i was a little boy 60 plus years ago my mother counseled me about pretty faces and about picking a girl that had other values besides beauty and big boobs. certainly those things are nice but not the most important.
you are correct of course about the t/c. i first became familiar when i shot handgun silhouette with them. they were deadly, i wished at times i could say the same for myself.
as far as being pretty the t/cs are ugly as a mud fence to me. but i've never had one fail me. as long as the rams went down at 200 meters with my 7mm tcu i was happy. there have also been many gophers that went to the big grass patch in the sky courtesy of my 223 encore rifle. and my 44 mag pistol has filled the freezer on occasion with fresh venison. i have only one really usable hand to use so i like to hunt with a handgun a lot. sometimes a rifle is just to unwieldy for me to handle.
pretty,no. effective and versitile yes.
