Kodiak hunt from two weeks ago

Here is a shot of my deer. The smallest of the group, but he was plenty heavy. The veg in the background looks short, but a deer could disappear in the there in a heart beat and if there were feeding, they could not be seen. BTW, the deer is missing his hind quarters at this point and I have been slapping black flies after gutting. So no, no one sucker punched me.

The first day up the mountain I had a good buck at 208 yards, but could only see his throat and head. Like a dumbass I thought I would mouzy on down there and kill the sucker. Too bad the veg was too high. The other guys could see the buck circle around me at less than 20 yards and I couldn't see him at all. Won't make that mistake again.

Another field shot. Big body. Never seen so much fat on a deer.
