My whole story was about what we were doing when saying the pledge....we are doing a salute to OUR flag..the flag of our Country...as others do to THEIRS....Not doing a salute to a god. Whoever your god is is between you and them, it, him or her...I just don't see what the big deal is in removing it from the pledge because #1 there are more important things that should be in the courts.....#2..the word God does not state ANY certain religion...the only one I have problems with is the one that says if you murder' thousands of innocent people you will move on to a better place...I believe in my God and even listen to those that come around on sunday doing their thing because who am I to say MY way is the correct way to believe...wouldn't it be something if that turned out to be the wrong way it is?..On the other hand, going to church to me is supporting a business and a chance to show off your new caddy or truck or your new dress...I believe in my God and although it is a good thing that churches suport programs that help others in need, so do lots of other programs...we just don't need a government or political figure to say what we can and can't do because it offends one person...It is time our government does what it was intended to do...it is way off track and out of control....is it our government or is it just those in it for a living?..Those with the hurray for me and f$$$ you...an easy way to get a good retirement check?....If you were in charge, what changes would you make? I would make it an automatic 1 year in armed services..get your basic, MOS and serve the rest of the time working at it..then make everyone keep their rifle at home so we have our well formed ARMY ready to defend our Country and our Flag...Sound like someplace we know?...the rest of the time we can use it to hunt...( I had to put that in there to keep this a hunting chat anything goes forum) I would bring our boys and girls home from the world and make it clear..threat of nuke or not, you better police your own ranks because if anyone pulls something like 911 again we will erasy you from the earth....Nuke war because of that?..Doubt it because they don't want to leave the earth any more than we do...stalemate....
