Great story, great deer! Sounds like you got the best of a bad situation (I've been on the south end of a few of those, and it's a lot sweeter to come out on top). I guess every once in a while you luck out when you have no right to, and a whole lot of times you go empty-handed when you shouldn't. Just enjoy the luck when it comes by. Congrats on a fine trophy, and a great experience!
