i think i have the problem solved...

the interbonds have a soft plastic tip, they will deform upon chambering in my rifle. however that being said, i did shoot four deer and one moose this year with this load. the interbond penetrates well. on the moose the first 165g struck her right shoulder while she was faceing, when she turned to run to her left i put another into her right shoulder. the first bullet traveled along the outside of her ribs about 30" breaking the last three. the second passed right through. i didn't recover any to weigh though. on the deer, only the first ran with a liver/lung shot, for about forty yards. all the others dropped on the spot. again no bullet to recover.
