The reason I feel so much concerned over this is in the early 80"s
I bought a new win. model 70 in a 7mm mag.I cleaned and oiled that gun taking very much pride in my first rifle. Then one very cold
-35*F morning I was shooting at a nice whitetail buck in Alberta and the shell failed to fire. After my 3rd attempt I watched the deer walk away only to hear a shot from my hunting partner who got what would have been my deer.I later deduced it was from my oiling and the extreme cold weather, thickening the oil.As there were little dents in the primers.
But in this case,it wasn't that cold and the primers were not dented. Thanks for all your thoughts though
