I am a believer in complete pass through whenever possible. Ther is no such thing as the energy being wasted. When that bullet passes through the vital organs area it disperses enough energy to cause catistrofic damage and disruption. Also with an exit hole it becomes easier to follow a blood trail if required. Accuracy is key in any hunting situation also you can't kill what you can't hit. With any bullet/load and rifle combination for me it doesn't make it to the game field unless it delievers less than 3/4"in with acceptable velocity in a given bullet wieght. That's all my rifles I hunt with to include my .338 RUM on down and I'm a lucky one because my rifles are still factory and all of them with certain loads will produce 1/2 " groups with my hunting bullets. A person should taylor thier loads to what thier using it for. For an anythings possible load I use Swift and Barnes but that's just me. For anything else to include pronghorn hunting I've had great results using Hornady Interlocks and SST's.
