my ummmmm out of box 3006 ruger shoots very well with reloads useing 165gr nosler bt bullets. it also shoots supriseingly well with 150gr rem core lockt facotry loads. this rifle has suprised me. i knew from exsperince that it would more than likly shoot into the 1.5" range wuite easily i figured it would take alot of loading and tweaking to beat that. i was wrong
i guess ill admit now that its not completly stock. i stoned the trigger to about 3lbs and thats it. i did this before ever fireing it.
anyways my 2506 ruger 24" barrel shoots pretty good with facotry ammo, and stoned trigger aswell. barrel hasnt been floated or anything. with reloads i can print quite nice groups that pass my standerds.
my 220 ruger #1 vt shoots the best groups out of all my rifles. it does this with the #1 ones bad rapp fro being finicky and is completly box stock i havent touched the trigger or bedding not a thing. just been reloading.
i havent shot my 270win in awhile but if i remember right it was shooting minute of deer with all ammo fired. and thats how im gona leave it. its rem 700
