Stoeger is owned by Beretta, which also owns Benelli. I think the rotary bolt, which was first used on the Benellis, is now used on the Beretta Extrema and the Stoegers. I don't know much about the newer Stoeger guns, but nine years ago a friend of mine bought one of their o/u's and it was a POS. He ended up getting rid of it within a year for a Browning GTI, which also turned out to be a POS. At the end of the day, if somebody is looking for a $300 gun, I guess the Stoeger will do just as well as the other $300 autos and o/u's out there.
