They are totally different cartidges.
The 38 Special is extremely common- and it's chambered almost exclusively in revolvers.

where can I find 38 super then?
The local places dont have much brass even, and want 80 bucks for 100. and then bullets are 60 bucks for 200, so with powder I am well over a dollar a round.
And I cant find factory rounds anywhere?
