I would gladly pay $100,000 per acre where I live. Instead, it goes for about $300,000 an acre and it gets completely insane the closer I get to Washington, DC. About half an hour Northwest, I can get 2 acres for a little over $200,000, and that is from a farm owner where I hunt on what is left of the farm,
