Because my place ain't located in the middle of Kentucky. I am in an area that links Washington, D.C. with Baltimore, Annapolis, and Frederick, Maryland. I live right off an Interstate that links DC with Frederick and it is considered a tech corridor. So, anybody with any land knows that the developers will want it sooner rather than later, so they aren't about to part with it for cheap. Sure, I can drive 15 minutes from my place, and actually hunt a farm less than 10 minutes from my place, but to buy anything is insane. I bought a townhouse here 2 years ago and paid $333,000 for it. I think it has .1 acres and I have 4 floors. The people across the way from me, with the exact same house and land, minus the 4th floor, are now trying to sell theirs for $460,000. Half a million for a townhouse. Can you imagine that?

I am happy to see that it has been on the market for more than a month now. I am hoping for a decrease in house prices such that I get exactly what I paid for this place. That way, I might eventually be able to afford a single family home and a farm.
