Money, money, money.........................I will carry on living in an area where I can buy a 160 acres for $50,000 and live comfortably in a bad year making $40,000.
I can hunt moose, elk, deer, bear ducks, geese, grouse and trap on my own property, ride my horses and there are next to no people, my closest neighbour is 3/4 of a mile away.
I did the urban rat race thing and hated it the whole time. Twenty years ago I got tired of the country living being a part time thing and changed careers and made things happen. I have never regretted it.
Course it is a good thing most people want to live and work in areas like where you live Fabs or they would all be out in the country and things would be too crowded for me.
