wahnie, I am not a pro brain picker but as one of the people in charge of the local sportsmens club..(@600 members), we have to police the members all the time..most of the time it is just due to lack of reading the rule book...but some long time members just defy it and get caught now and then..where I am going here is one Jr. member has just turned 13..he is an adopted son and in most cases a nice kid...but he has been breaking the rules all last yr and even this year..so I had a talk with him..alone..no parents..politely warned him..I figured he is old enough to know right from wrong..what he did was tell his mom nobody likes him there..cry..they spoil this kid to the max even ride him to another fishing spot along the lake because he don't want to walk..is overweight too...but his mom visited my camper just yesterday and it seems someone told the parents of his wrong doing...she was upset because he had his '' feelings'' hurt..but he is a spoiled brat..I have to think this way of thinking now days is where the problem lies..esp when it involves so many students at one time like in your area..the good ole spank the butt when 'need' it is gone..they have no respect for anyone of any age and have a bad attitude toward everything..but when it comes back to the parents or people in charge of events like baseball, they can't even play the game all innings if one team is loosing by too much because it will .''hurt their feelings''..so they just don't get the chance to 'toughen up' some..and I think this makes it easy to cross the line in some real tough situations..they can mother f*** the teachers in front of the class but the teacher can't say a thing about it..or get fired..is spanked in front of the class like the old days for doing such a thing, he would loose face to the classmates and not be such a bad butt..these kids can dish out the pain, hastles but can't take it..I think it will all change once this generation gets in charge of things just like ours did once the 'hippies' 'yuppies' took over..I see it every day in front of my house with the kids..language, destruction, lack of respect, etc and at ages when I was learning to ride a bike..I will have to continue on another post because of space here.
