Gil,
I understand why 91/30 sniper rifles are "Hot Sellers" in today's market. In 1995, in Salzburg, Austria I handled two mint ORIGINAL 91/30 Mosin sniper rifles; one had a "PE" scope and the other had a "PU" scope and both were priced at 500 Austrian Shillings, but I got the shop keeper down to 400 Shillings or $400 U.S. for each. I had the shop keeper's assurance I could walk out with both arms. I checked with the local US Consulate and got another definition on importing those (military) arms when my plane went to Boston 4 days hence. I was told I could not get the rifles through Customs. End of that story. The arms I handled were NEW and original.
