I haven't hunted them in Southern Alberta, but I know Captain2k has. I know in South Saskatchewan they can be think in areas, in fact even further North in the central regions I have had days were we went through a few hundred rounds a person for an afternoon.

It is probably easier for you to bring a rifle up here, than for me to bring one down there. Have a look at the Canadian Firearms Website (link and it might be able to help you through the process.

Oh, the 10//2 works great for them, though I have moved to the .17HMR with a high power scope (furthest confirmed kill for me so far is 230yrds). So the M2 should be nasty to them as well.
