Actually, there was nothing holy about the smoke last night. We had a nasty windstorm blow in last night with gusts up to 65 mph reported in some areas. My SAR team got a call-out to help with the evacuation of a little town called Tipanuk near here; they moved them in to the high school. Unfortunately, I'd had a couple drinks so I couldn't go but I guess it went pretty smooth, unless you're one of the poor souls who lost a house, barn or all your crops. I think every building in my apartment complex lost a lot of shingles. Anyway, if you're interested, here the link to one of our local new stations
