hnter,

I am not looking for an argument, or debate. I seriously would like to know what edition of Guntraders you found this gun in because I use it for my trading as well. I have never once found this particular model in GT and would like too.

Now, I agree they don't bring near Blue Book price.....yet. But I have a feeling they will be coming up soon. Look at what 1911's have done recently and who would have ever thought a Model 788 Remington would be bringing up to $450. Around here, what I would call altered guns are up to about $175 and more orig. ones are $200-$250. What I call "altered" is new bolt, barrel and stock whacked off and sporter sling put on it. As I said above, the crest was removed on all of these except what was smuggled out or stolen before they left the factory for use. They never did make it to Argentina from what I can gather. Of course you may know more about them and I welcome any info you have, Just because I think the gun and story behind them is really interesting.

Lastly, you are 100% correct that no gun is worth a penny more that someone is willing to pay, but Danny is right by that same token.

Gun Values will be debated around chatrooms and campfires when our bones have long dried (hopefully) and there are places to and reasons to do so, but you must recognize that to Danny a post like your original one, following an item he had listed for sale and at his desired price, was a bust in the chops. Maybe it wasn't meant as such but to me and I am certain to Danny you may as well have said....."Are you nuts or just trying to give someone a good screwing on this gun? It isn't worth the shipping costs"
Maybe a PM was more in order, or stating that you thought you had seen a similar gun in GT for a given price....could that be the same gun?

Now, that all said, please give us any info you have regarding this particular model of Mauser Rifle. I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks in advance.

Another gun nut....

PS: here is a photo of a HIGHLY ALTERED Mauser but is complete with crests that I have for sale......LOL!!!
