Where is the crest located you are referring to on the gun exactly. Is it on the left side of the gun, opposite the bolt, is it on the barrel or is it on the top of the action above the bolt head or is it on the top rear of the action? Is it all writing or picture or both?
Is your rifle currently carrying a scope? if so...you can't see the crest we are referring to, the base is covering it.
BTW, the gun in the photo is a Mauser 98 action complete with crests. Not sure of where it is from....LOL, Gunsmith put on the bases and I never took it off to look at it closely.
