1917 Enfield

I had a Winchester Enfield at one time. The darn thing was one of the most accurate iron sighted rifles I ever shot. Somewhat heavy and a little awkward..but really accurate. I have a 1903A3 barrelled action here now...dated 5-43 and I don't think it's been shot. Bent swept bolt and milled bottom end so think it was intended to be a Sniper rifle. Given to me by a WWII Marine pilot about 4 yrs ago...just before he passed away. I took care of all his shooting stuff for his widow...at his request the action was given to me. He was a good man. I think of him and his stories quite often. He had a lot of arms etc from the war. Even had a Military Thompson. Got to shoot it one time. It was an awesome piece. Had to give it to one of his relatives. Darn!!
