I can relate. People now regularly call me ma'am and I'm not even forty yet.
I'm with you though. Age is just a state of mind. A lot of people have told me I don't look my age, and I can't believe all of them are just being nice.
As for spunk, I have a grandmother and great aunts that are in their 90s and they're still spunky. It all has to do with your attitude. If you think you're old, you're old.
